The Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation
Over $22 million has been donated to cancer research since the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation was founded in 1971 in his honour. Lombardi coached the Green Bay Packers to five Super Bowl victories. Many others were inspired by Coach Lombardi’s infectious joy for the game and relentless pursuit of perfection.
His courageous fight with colon cancer ended on September 3, 1970, at the young age of 57. The mission of the organisation named in his honour is to eradicate cancer via education, patient support, and scientific investigation.
