As she was never sure she wanted children, Janney believes she would have had them with a different partner if she had met the right man at the appropriate moment. “Having children would be something I’d come to regret more than not having them. In this case, I have no problem with it.”

Janney has remarked that she is still figuring out who she is and how she wants, despite having been in multiple significant relationships and having been engaged to director Richard Jenik until their breakup in 2006.
“I’m taking this opportunity to figure out what I want out of life and who I am. Of course, I hope to find someone to spend the rest of my life with, but if that doesn’t happen, I’ll be okay any way “the 61-year-old performer remarked.
