Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s appearance at the 94th Awards Show sparked heated discussion online.
Will received his first Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Performance for his performance as King Richard’s villainous king, who happens to be the father of tennis greats Venus and Serena Williams.
Will, in his acceptance speech, mentioned his wife and children and expressed regret for his fight with Chris Rock.

Smith made his marriage proposal to his wife official in November 1997. Pinkett Smith revealed to People that she and her husband became engaged and then learned they were expecting children in a single day.
Sure enough, on Dec 31, 1997, Pinkett Smith married Will Smith when 3 months pregnant with their first child and wearing a champagne-colored velvet gown.
There was a little celebration at a motel in Pinkett Smith’s hometown of Baltimore. According to People, the reason why there aren’t more pictures of the couple’s wedding online is because they didn’t send invitations so that news wouldn’t get out.
