Where Did Wil Wheaton Go? This Big Bang Theory Cameo Blunder Is One Of His All-Time Favourites

Wil Wheaton has appeared on The Big Bang Theory numerous times as a guest star, and one of his favourite cameos involves a hilarious blunder.

Season 3, episode 19 of The Big Bang Theory, titled “The Wheaton Recurrence,” features Wheaton as the leader of an opposition bowling team. This episode is a personal favourite of Johnny Galecki, who plays Leonard.

He uses Penny and Leonard’s tense relationship to his advantage, helping Wil’s squad to victory. Despite Wheaton’s poor planning in the lead-up to filming, he ended up loving this episode.

Wheaton picked out a gorgeous blue bowling ball (that was unfortunately too hefty to throw) before filming began. A 17-pound ball was a bad choice, as he had to carry it around for the whole 13-hour shoot.

Wheaton mentioned several more of his favourite cameo appearances on The Big Bang Theory in the same interview. The first occurred during the 11th episode of Season 9. This episode was titled “The Opening Night Excitation.”

Sheldon was furious that Wil and the rest of the guys didn’t invite him to the premiere of the new Star Wars film. The Big Bang Theory sci-fi legend had improvised the entire event, without alerting the cast or crew, and he thoroughly loved the occasion.

Everyone in the room was really astonished and amused. Because of how much he laughed at this joke, he showed up to the premiere of The Last Jedi in a Star Trek uniform in 2017.
