Juno Temple was shocked and saddened to read the scene in Ted Lasso Season 3 Episode 1 where the audience finds out that Roy and Keeley have split up. She told Town & Country, “I think Keeley would have reacted the same way.”
“It rang true, but it also fits the narrative arc of her amazing professional opportunity, so she needs to pay attention to that, too, as Temple explains. Simply put, she hasn’t really registered the significance of what has transpired. That’s why she’s zeroing in on it; maybe some new insight will emerge.”
The actor/writer Brett Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent, a former soccer player turned coach, on Ted Lasso, was just as heartbroken as the rest of us when he found out about their breakup.
