The Death Of A New Jersey Native And Financier Came Just A Week After He Was Facing A Pair Of Criminal Charges.

According to court documents obtained by Daily Voice, the deceased was a Connecticut-based investment banker with New Jersey ties who was facing two misdemeanour criminal charges related to a domestic disturbance at the time of his death.

On January 25 at approximately 6:30 p.m., Dale L. Cheney, 46, of New Canaan, jumped to his death from Bar 54 at the Hyatt Centric Times Square New York, located at 135 West 45th St. in Manhattan.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of New York City determined that Cheney committed suicide on Friday, January 27.

Court documents show that on Monday, January 16th, Cheney was arrested by New Canaan Police on misdemeanour counts of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct following a domestic altercation at his New Canaan residence on Old Stamford Road. According to the court documents, he was released after posting a $25,000.

According to the New York City Police Department, Dale L. Cheney, 46, of New Canaan, Connecticut, committed himself by jumping to his death from Bar 54 at the Hyatt Centric Times Square New York, located at 135 West 45th St. in Manhattan, on January 25 at approximately 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, January 27, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in New York City announced that they had determined Cheney’s death to be a suicide.

According to the court documents, Cheney was arrested by New Canaan Police on misdemeanour counts of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct on Monday, January 16 after a domestic disagreement at his house in New Canaan on Old Stamford Road.

The incident occurred days earlier on Monday, January 16. According to the court documents, he was freed after posting a bond of $25,000.

According to the court documents, his wife Lauren Cheney, who is 44 years old and lives in New York City, was granted a restraining order one day after his arrest. He had filed for divorce from her two days before he passed away.

According to the records, the Cheney family only spent a short time in Union County. His obituary just states that he was born and raised in New Jersey.

According to his LinkedIn page, Cheney established T-street Capital in the year 2013 in the town of Darien. Prior to that, he spent a number of years working as an investment banker for Citicorp Venture Capital and Goldman Sachs beginning in the year 2005.

In addition to this, he served on the boards of directors of a number of corporations and is a graduate of the Harvard University Business School. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the university.

There was no success in contacting either his family or his company despite our best efforts. Neither one of them has made a statement on his passing away.
