Around 3:56 a.m. on Saturday, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a shooting in the 1000 block of Quincy Street in the city’s northeast. Officers arrived to find the kid, later named as Karon Blake, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Blake was taken to a local hospital by DC Fire and EMS, where he eventually passed away.
According to Metro police, Blake was shot and killed by a male resident of the neighbourhood who had heard sounds and seen someone allegedly messing with automobiles.
