Mystery As Man And Woman Found Dead In Flat – With Police Launching Murder Probe

A man and a woman’s bodies were discovered inside of a flat in North Yorkshire, and as a result, a murder investigation has been initiated.

Yesterday afternoon, law enforcement officials went upon a street in Thornaby after receiving allegations of a “ongoing incident” at flats that were formerly occupied by the Royal George pub.

Following the discovery of two bodies at approximately 2.10 p.m., the force has now verified that a murder investigation is currently under way. Officers are making no progress in determining the identities of the victims.

A male, age 21, was taken into jail after being detained on suspicion of murder and is currently being held there.

Peter Carr, a Senior Investigating Officer, made a plea to anyone who was in the vicinity or who noticed someone acting suspiciously to get in touch with the police. He said that anyone who responded would receive a reward.

He stated that a man and a lady had regrettably died as a result of the incident, and a male was still being held by police in connection with the crime.

“I would want to make a request to anyone who could have been walking by the flats on Thornaby Road, which were once known as The Royal George Pub, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Wednesday, the 21st of December.

“We ask that anyone who may have witnessed somebody acting suspiciously or any action that may have been suspicious to please get in touch with us.”

Pictures indicated that the area was still roped off today, with two police vans present at the scene and forensic officers continuing to investigate the property.

During the time that there was a considerable police presence, Neighbours expressed their concerns. The cops have been seen moving in and out of the flats, therefore it is clear that there is some kind of incident taking place there.

“I’ve asked them what occurred, but they won’t tell me what’s going on. Because I have young children, this worries me.

Anyone who may have information regarding this event is asked to call the Cleveland Police Department at the number 101 and provide the incident number 228839. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crimestoppers.
