In 1993, Lorena Bobbitt and her husband John Wayne Bobbitt became well-known after the former used a knife to sever John Bobbitt’s genitalia after he reportedly tried to assault the latter. The incident was shown on national television.
The case received a lot of interest from people all around the world, and now, thirty years later, REELZ is reporting on the “event” from a new angle, portraying Lorena Wayne as the victim of the crime. The documentary will have the title Lorena: Escaping Bobbitt and will have its debut on April 24, 2022.
The horrific experience that Lorena had with marital strife and abuse will be the primary topic of the documentary that will be centred on her side of the tale. At the conclusion of their individual trials, the judge ruled that both John and Lorena were innocent of the charges against them.
At the moment, John Bobbitt can be found residing in Las Vegas. He does not engage in gainful employment and instead relies on the funds received from a settlement in 2014. The last time he was mentioned in the media was in the year 2020, when he received a diagnosis of an infected bone that might need him to have his left leg amputated.
Where Is John Wayne Bobbitt Now
In the year 1969, Lorena Leonor Gallo was born in the Ecuadorian city of Bucay. She had two younger brothers and sisters and grew up in Caracas, Venezuela with the rest of her family. Her family belonged to the middle class and her dad worked in the dental industry as a dental technician.
In the early hours of June 23, 1993, Lorena Bobbitt took a knife measuring eight inches from the kitchen of the apartment where she was staying and severed her husband, John Wayne Bobbitt’s penis.
After leaving their apartment, she got into her car and drove to Manassas, Virginia, where she dumped the severed organ in a field there. After her activities were made public, there was a deluge of media coverage, beginning with John’s successful penis reattachment surgery and continuing all the way through Lorena’s trial in 1994.
Recent news articles claim that John Bobbitt currently resides in Las Vegas and is travelling throughout the Rocky Mountains in search of the treasure that was buried by Forrest Fenn. He does not have a job but was awarded a disability payout in 2014,
which he uses to pay his obligations. Even now, Bobbitt insists that he has done nothing wrong. Bobbitt has been through three divorces and is currently living on his own.

What Happened To John Bobbitt?
While her husband, John Bobbitt, was sleeping in their home in the summer of 1993, John Bobbitt’s wife, Lorena Bobbitt, stabbed him with a kitchen knife. She severed his genital organs and then fled in her vehicle while still holding one of them in her palm.
She threw it off of a bridge, and it was afterwards discovered in a field. It was eventually delivered to the hospital, where doctors were able to successfully reattach it to John.
Following this event, there was a divide in public opinion. Others viewed Lorena to be an aggressor, despite the fact that she was seen by some as an icon for the female rebellion and as someone who participated in the movement.
The matter was resolved in a “he said, she said” fashion, with the result that neither party was found guilty of any wrongdoing.
The court tried Lorena for assault and temporary insanity, and the court tried John for physical violence and marital assault respectively. The jury reached a verdict of not guilty for each of them.
Nearly three decades later, the situation is very identical with Lorena Bobbitt, who now uses her maiden name, Lorean Gallo, saying that John abused and assaulted her, and John vehemently denying all of the allegations. Lorena Bobbitt now goes by her maiden name.
People initially exclusively saw John as the victim of a crazy woman; however, things have changed with time, and today many people see Lorena as the victim. John is still seen by some as the victim of a crazy wife. The subject matter will also be the focal point of the upcoming series Lorena: Escaping Bobbitt.
The most recent information is that John Bobbitt currently resides in Las Vegas and travels to the Rocky Mountains in order to look for the treasure that was concealed by Forrest Fenn.
He does not have a job and instead relies on a disability settlement that he received in 2014. Bobbitt has never wavered in his stance that he is innocent.
Bobbitt is currently a bachelor because his previous three marriages all ended in divorce. He continues to be exonerated of all allegations made by Lorena Gallo.

John Bobbitt Speaks Out 23 Years After Infamous Attack
John Bobbitt recalls the event vividly despite the fact that it occurred 23 years ago.
Lorena Bobbitt used a kitchen knife to remove her husband’s penis on June 23, 1993. In a state of panic, she threw the severed limb out the window of her car after driving around Manassas, Virginia. The penis was found by police in a field, and a surgeon was able to successfully reattach it.
Their marriage ended because of what happened, and John and Lorena Bobbitt became famous figures because of the trial that followed. Lorena was put on trial for the attack, but she was found not guilty because she had suffered a short lapse in sanity.
John Bobbitt is still feeling the effects of the attack, more than two decades later.
This Saturday on Scandal Made Me Famous, a true-crime docuseries on the Reelz Channel, the now 49-year-old man will talk about the incident that made him famous.
Bobbit explains how, at first, he didn’t get the full extent of the attack, but eventually came to terms with what had happened in this episode. When he looked down, he saw “blood everywhere,” as he puts it on the episode.
It’s a shame that something so tragic happened to you so suddenly. The only other option was to end my life.
Fortunately, such was not the case. Bobbitt quickly learned that he had not lost his sexual performance capability when surgeons successfully reattached his penis. He says that the few pornographic films in which he appeared were among the most grossing in cinematic history.
Over the course of his career, he appeared on countless episodes of television and was a regular guest on Howard Stern’s show. (Stern footed the bill for Bobbitt to get a penile augmentation.)
Lorena Bobbitt avoided attention by going back to her maiden name and finding work in the beauty industry. After her first marriage ended in divorce, she met her second husband and together they started the domestic violence charity Lorena’s Red Wagon.
