Suspect Accused Of Throwing Burning ‘Substance’ In Woman’s Face On NYC Subway Arrested In Atlanta

An unprovoked attack on a woman at a Manhattan subway station has resulted in the suspect being apprehended by the police. The suspect is accused of throwing bleach in the woman’s face.

According to the police, the woman flung the liquid at the victim when she was standing close to the subway booth at the intersection of 7th Avenue and West 14th Street on Thursday afternoon. She was transferred to Lenox Hill Hospital for treatment after the FDNY reported that she had suffered from some minor burns.

On Friday afternoon, the Chief of Detectives for the NYPD, Rodney Harrison, tweeted that the woman, who was 40 years old, had been taken into custody. It was first unclear what charges she was being accused of.

One of the witnesses was so close to the lady that he got bleach spilled on him, and he recounted witnessing the suspected offender approach the victim in silence.

He demonstrated the bleach stains that were now present on his slacks and shoes by saying, “She got my sneakers and everything.”

According to the witness, the perpetrator of the incident then crept out of the subway station in silence.

If you happen to come into contact with bleach, the Chief Medical Officer at Mount Sinai Hospital in Brooklyn, Dr. Peter Shearer, suggests thoroughly rinsing the affected area with as much water as you can manage.

“Bleach has the potential to irritate the skin in a mild manner. It is somewhat more hazardous and has the potential to cause inflammation to the mucus membranes, such as the lining of your mouth or even your eyes “he stated.
