Ken Block’s Untimely Demise: Know The Details Of His Tragic End, His Fortune, And Many More!

Ken Block, a professional rally driver and co-founder of the action sports company Hoonigan, died in a snowmobile accident on Monday. Block, who had previously helped start DC Shoes, made his mark in the world of rally with the creation of the Hoonigan label and the now-iconic Gymkhana movies.

According to a Facebook post by the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, Ken Block died from the injuries he received when his snowmobile flipped over and landed on top of him.

Here’s what the public service message said: “At around 2:00 p.m. on January 2, 2023, a caller from the Mill Hollow area reported a snowmobile accident to the Wasatch County 911 Center.

Park City, Utah native and 55-year-old male driver Kenneth Block was riding a snowmobile down a steep slope when the machine flipped over and landed on top of him. Due to his severe injuries, he was pronounced dead at the site.”

A Look At Ken Block’s Life

American Ken Block was born on November 21, 1967. The identities of his parents remain unknown. As a child, Ken Block wanted to be a builder since he was good at drawing. Skateboarding and dirt bike riding were two more extreme hobbies of Ken Block’s. He was fortunate to grow up in California, where he could afford to pursue both of his interests.

He was a famous rally driver who also created videos and did other extreme sports like snowboarding and ATV riding. To promote the company’s electric Audis and Porsche race cars, Ken Block teamed up with Audi to create a series of daring videos.

Skateboarding hero Ken Block sold his company, DC Shoes, which he co-founded in 1994, in 2004. As a result of the deal, Block went from being a marketing executive to being a household brand in the motorsports industry.

One of Block’s teammates in the Nitro RallyCross series, Steve Arpin, described him as a “legend” and “everything this planet needs more of.” In an interview with ESPN, he said, “Ken was legendary for his ability to turn an idea into a working reality.

He essentially invented an entire market. The best in Ken, though, shone through when he was around people he knew well. He cherished his relationships with his friends and would open doors for anyone willing to put in effort. On the side, he did a lot of amazing things, but mainly he was everything the world needs more of.”

2022: Both A Happy And A Sad Year

Athlete legend Travis Pastrana told ESPN that Block was “extremely pleased” in 2022 because everything were finally falling into place for him. Together with his wife Lucy, Block recently competed in the 2022 American Rally Association Championship.

He also watched his daughter Lia, then 16 years old, compete. Travis said, “Ken felt quite joyful this year. He enjoyed the races more since Lucy was racing with him, his daughter was racing, and his other children were usually present.
