The death of NBA YoungBoy, a 23-year-old rap sensation, has been rumoured.
One Facebook user posted a screenshot of a fake news story claiming the “world’s biggest artist” had died, and the rumours quickly spread. The original photograph, published on May 19, 2021, offered no evidence to support the wild claim it made.
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, police told USA Today that YoungBoy, who was arrested on federal weapons charges but was from the area, was doing fine in jail.

Is NBA YoungBoy Dead?
That rapper is not dead in the year 2023. However, since the word “death” has been trending alongside his name, others have concluded that he is no longer living.
His tweet from January 11 including an old clip of the rapper and the phrase “dead” lends further credence to this theory.
One of YoungBoy’s previously released songs has been re-premiered. He contemplates his own and other rappers’ mortality throughout the song. There have been previous social media reports about the rapper’s death that were also untrue.
Legal advisor for the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Greg Moroux informed USA TODAY that Gaulden was not discovered dead in his cell. The custody record shows that Gaulden was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on April 13, and he remains there as of May 26.
Why was NBA YoungBoy Arrested?
After attempting to make a warranted arrest, the LAPD tried to pull him over, but he managed to get away. Law enforcement officials in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, were on the lookout for him because he was a suspect in a drug and handgun case that resulted in the arrest of sixteen others.
In their pursuit of the fleeing rapper, the police established a cordon around the area. His vehicle was searched by the police and a firearm was discovered.
