Prime Video quickly renewed Reacher for a second season after the first went over well with subscribers.
The series brings Lee Child’s character of Jack Reacher back on our televisions after a short absence after Tom Cruise’s portrayal. Reacher is back, but this time as a TV program on Prime Video, so the displays aren’t quite as big.
The character of Reacher, however, has never been more popular than it is with Alan Ritchson at the helm. The Titans actor, at 6 feet 2 inches, is nearer to the intimidating six feet five inches in the novels, and he makes full use of his height and build in the first season of Reacher.
Given Amazon’s commitment to Prime, we expect Reacher to run for at least a few more seasons.
When Reacher Season 2 Might Come Out
Prime Video renewed Reacher barely three days after the premiere of season one, but the second season has yet to get a set premiere date.
Amazon (via Deadline) claims that in a 24-hour period, Reacher was in the top five most-watched programs in the United States and throughout the world. It has a good rating among users, too, so the rapid renewal is not unexpected.
Since we had previously heard from the lead actor Ritchson that “filming would resume this autumn,” we weren’t surprised when, in the month of September 2022, he posted another Instagram update from from the set.
A video of him saying, “We’re back, more powerful and improved than ever,” was released. I’m prepared to get things rolling with a clean slate of Reacher. Now that this has been formalized, count us in.
In keeping with the trend of recent social media posts, Prime Video’s official Twitter account recently informed its followers of the exciting news that shooting on season two had concluded.
Ritchson personally broke the good news, and he did it while dressed as Reacher would be on set: bruised and bloodied.

Cast Of Season 2 Of Reacher
In addition to Ritchson as Reacher, the first season also included the characters played by Malcolm Goodwin (Finley), Willa Fitzgerald (Roscoe), and Harvey Guillén (Jasper).
The only cast person who seems sure about returning is Alan Ritchson, who played as Reacher, given the conclusion of the series (more on this in a moment).
Ritchson said on Instagram, “Whoaaaaa!!!”What a fantastic finding! Unlike Reacher, who deliberately remains silent, I have no words.
You guys have made #ReacheronPrime among @primevideo’s most viewed programs EVER in only our first weekend! How crazy is that? A lot of individuals deserve a lot of credit for making this program what it is.
If you aren’t having fun in the Reacher universe, then all the hard work and dedication of everyone involved is for nothing. Please accept my sincere gratitude.

Storyline Of Reacher Season 2
As the first season of Reacher concluded, Jack’s quest for his brother’s killer was mostly successful.
Now that they know what happened, Reacher and Margrave decide to split ways, much to Roscoe’s dismay. She tells Reacher, “If you stray back, drop me a call,” and then hands him a chocolate box with her number on it.
Reacher places a medal of significant emotional worth at his brother’s grave after saying his last goodbyes. He wipes his eyes and starts hitchhiking to greener pastures.
After adapting the first of the Jack Reacher novel, Killing Floor, for Season 1, Season 2 has been confirmed to move forward ten books to the eleventh, Bad Luck & Trouble.

There is still a plenty of material to mine for future seasons of Reacher, since the character has 26 books from which to draw inspiration. It’s not out of the question that we’ll get to see some brand new Reacher season 2 footage in the days and weeks building up to the premiere. So, early 2024 is the most plausible time frame.
