Mizkif, a prominent Twitch streamer, abruptly backed out of a sponsorship deal that would have flown the Just Chatting star to Saudi Arabia for a Fortnite charity event.
A Twitch streamer by the name of Pokelawls revealed an invitation to a sponsored Fortnite event in Saudi Arabia on June 29. The streamer mentioned that in the email, OTK co-founder Mizkif and OTK creator Emiru had intended to make an appearance.
In an effort to deflect attention away from its own and other countries’ humanitarian concerns, Saudi Arabia has frequently been accused of engaging in “esports washing.” Mizkif’s first decision to accept the sponsorship was widely panned by fans.

Once the truth was revealed, Mizkif and others had to deal with the fallout. Mizkif had an online conversation with Hasan, who explained to him why the audience had such a negative impression of Saudi Arabia.
Other streamers have come out to confirm that they, too, were approached about participating in the Saudi Arabia streamer Fortnite competition, like Moistcritical and Ludwig. Neither one of them agreed to go.
