Illegal Turn Produces 8½ Pounds Of Coke, 150 Pounds Of Pot, Loaded Guns, $50K, Three Arrests In

Authorities said that an unlawful turn at a busy crossroads in Leonia led to the discovery of 8.25 pounds of cocaine, 150 pounds of marijuana, two loaded firearms, and $50,000 in revenue, as well as the arrest of three unemployed men from Ridgefield Park, Manhattan, and Long Island.

After speaking with the driver, who was identified as Lenny Fernandez, a Dominican national living in Ridgefield Park at the age of 43, and his passengers, Ferguson J.

Rodriguez-Alcantara, 40, of Elmont, and another Dominican national named Algenis R. Marte-Severino, 26, of Washington Heights, Forsdahl found 50 pounds of marijuana and $10,000 in cash, the chief said. The driver was identified as Lenny Fernandez.

According to Tamagny, the officers Ryan Berger and Nolan Stendor as well as Special Officer II Steve Oxnard assisted the sergeant in the process of arresting them.

During a subsequent investigation, Forsdahl, Detective Sgt. Mike Jennings, and Detective Erik Goodell were able to seize an additional 100 pounds of marijuana, four kilogrammes of cocaine, two loaded handguns without serial numbers, and a total of $40,000 in cash, as stated by the chief.

In addition, the investigation led to the seizure of two handguns that did not have serial numbers.

He stated that the police departments in Englewood and Ridgefield Park, as well as the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team, provided assistance.

The three guys have each been accused with a variety of felonies relating to drugs, guns, and money laundering.

They were arrested and sent to the Bergen County Jail, where they were awaiting further court action as of Tuesday, February 7th.
