A guy who was wanted for questioning in connection with the stabbing of a high school student in the state of California was taken into custody on Wednesday morning after being besieged inside his home in the Los Angeles area.
After what investigators claim was an hour-long standoff in Alhambra, the suspect turned himself in about 9:15 in the morning. The incident was captured on aerial video by KTLA of Nexstar, which showed many policemen helping the suspect get into the back of a police car.
On Friday, a student at Woodrow Wilson High School named Xavier Daniel Chavarin, who was 17 years old, is thought to have been fatally stabbed by an individual who has not been recognised, according to the authorities.
The assault took place when Chavarin was waiting for his family to pick him up from school after classes had ended.
An earlier surveillance video of the suspect had been published by the police, and the individual seen in that video matched the description of the person currently in custody.

The assailant was observed walking across a parking lot to get to Chavarin after exiting a vehicle of a dark colour and before striking him.
According to the authorities, he repeatedly stabbed the teenager in the back before escaping the site of the crime. Before collapsing on the floor, witnesses claim that Chavarin strolled into a nearby restaurant and requested for assistance before passing out.
Just a few hours later, it was reported that the same man had stabbed another individual, who turned out to be a father of 33 years old.
The man is claimed to have mental health issues. Officials from the Los Angeles Police Department have confirmed to KTLA that he has had previous encounters with law enforcement in the past.
It looked that the suspect was wearing the same outfit in both of the stabbing incidents. During the second assault, the suspect allegedly took off his baseball cap and rode a skateboard while carrying out the crime, according to the police.

The authorities have not made any additional information about either incident public, and it is currently unknown what motivated each of the acts.
On the ground where Chavarin was assaulted, a monument has been erected as a tribute. His family and friends remember him as an honour student who put in a lot of effort.
Rosario Chavarin, the victim’s great-aunt, stated that the deceased individual was about to graduate with honours. “I am at a loss for words to adequately explain the agony.”
A friend of the family named Ricky Ramiro stated that the boy “was just waiting for his mother on the sidewalk.” “He had no idea that something like this was going to happen. It’s just one of those situations where he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
Parents who live in the region and have children who attend schools there are currently worried about their children’s wellbeing.
“Our children deserve to be safe,” said Maria Brenes, an El Sereno homeowner. No mother deserves for their child to be taken away from them, especially in such a cruel and heartbreaking manner.
The Chavarin family has asked for assistance with the costs associated with the funeral through a GoFundMe account that has been established.
