The third season of the highly anticipated drama “Power Book II: Ghost” has finally arrived. Thariq’s first few months after being released from prison are spent reestablishing his routine, juggling his responsibilities as a son and a son of a single parent, and exploring his burgeoning interest in the drug trade. Thariq’s tribulations will be revealed in the upcoming episodes.
It was clear that episode 2 of Season 3 of Power Book II: Ghost would culminate in a major event, and that’s exactly what happened. Of course, that didn’t play out the way everyone expected.
We anticipated that either Noma would spring a major surprise on us this week or that Tariq and Stansfield would do something absolutely insane. We weren’t expecting Lorenzo to come clean about what happened to Zeke so soon. To Cane’s relief, he finally accepted his guilt. Not only that, but he explained his motivations for it as well! He saw Zeke as the Holy Grail and decided to eliminate him permanently.

Overview Of Power Book II, Season 3, Episode 2
In the second episode of the season, “Need Vs. Greed,” the team sets into motion their strategy to spread the product to sell in as many regions as possible, but not before some early disagreements arise.
Brayden suggests selling to the snooty employees at the Weston family company, but Tariq is adamantly against the idea. This scene is just one example of how “need vs. greed” is explored throughout the show.
When making a choice, should we prioritise satisfying an essential need, or satisfying a want? What results would I get if I did this, or if I didn’t? Tariq and Brayden are on opposing sides of the spectrum when it comes to this idea, but when their lives are on the line with Noma, their immediate demands become more congruent, allowing them to reach a compromise on how to proceed in the episode.
Lorenzo challenges Cane to the top seat, and to his surprise, Cane accepts the challenge, while Effie struggles to find her balance between “need vs. greed.” Although Jenny Sullivan, Cooper Saxe, and Blanca Rodriguez are building a strong case against them, Lauren may not have to make a decision that she finds challenging.

Power Book II, Season 3, Episode 2 is now titled “Need VS. Greed.” A person’s “Need VS Greed” is the gap between what they absolutely need and what they want more of than is reasonable. Consequently, right now, the most pressing requirement for this community is to ensure its own survival. They must not touch any mouse food, or they will face the penalties.
On the other hand, one’s need for power, powder, and respect is what motivates greed. And it becomes much more interesting when we connect it to the game Tariq, Effie, and Brayden are playing.
The term may allude to the fact that differences of opinion about the group’s methods and ultimate goals are beginning to emerge. Everyone is looking out for number one in this game, and there are no buddies out here. And Tariq would be wise to keep that in mind, especially in light of the season two betrayal he endured.
Who, then, is motivated by greed rather than need? With Effie, Diana, Tariq, and Becca all in the same class, I have no doubt that this will be discussed at some point. The contrasting viewpoints, especially those of Diana and Effie, will be fascinating to hear.
However, I think one thing we should be wary of when it comes to greed is Cane’s manipulation, which he picked up from Mecca’s tutelage. Tariq St. Patrick may be reached most easily through the wealthy Brayden Western. Nevertheless, Effie, not the wealthy adolescent, is now Tariq’s ticket to happiness. And it appears like Cane is capitalising on it. And it’s something he’ll use again and again until he gets his way.
Conclusion
What kind of insanity does Lorenzo have to endure next? We don’t expect him to be the type to passively follow orders indefinitely.
At some point, the proverbial **** is going to hit the fan, and now we just have to see 1) when that happens and 2) what Lorenzo does about it. Intentionally murder Cane? That makes no sense at all, but in these trying circumstances, it could be necessary to resort to extreme means.
Hopefully, we’ll find out more about how Lauren survived and what she remembers, as well as what Jenny Sullivan actually knows, in this episode.
The group appeared to be making progress towards a common goal, and Wall Street appeared to be on the list. And all Lorenzo will do is keep making it easier for himself to bury himself. Let go of your preconceived notions and viewpoints.
