She is much like the character Dawn in that she isn’t afraid to speak her mind in public, but she considers Dawn to be more courageous than she is.
Since the series’ protagonist, Dawn, is Latina, as opposed to the blonde protagonist of the books on which the Netflix show is based, Xochitl has won the hearts of many Hispanic viewers.
Despite being an only child, Xochitl Gomez has a large extended family. She wishes she had a brother to play with, but she enjoys all the holiday attention she gets. She started taking improv courses when she was 8 years old. She gets a kick out of the chance to improvise amusing routines.

During her COVID-19 quarantine, she plans to relax at home with a good book. After completing production on the pilot episode of The Baby-Sitters Club, Xochitl decided to finally have her ears pierced. In the next season, assuming there is one, she may be wearing earrings.
She thinks the substance of TV programs is significant since most kids nowadays learn by watching TV. She appreciates the series’ emphasis on good values like companionship, loyalty, and trust.
