It has been confirmed that either the third season of the Made in Abyss television show or a new film would be produced. On January 15, 2023, it was announced that the creation of a sequel to an anime series had been given the go-ahead, but the medium was not revealed.
Due to the fact that it is comprised of already animated scenes from the first two seasons, the trailer for the announcement does not provide any precise details regarding the plot.
On the other hand, the official Made in Abyss Twitter account posted an image of a movie camera, which may be a clue that the upcoming follow-up project will be another film in the series.
When Is Made In Abyss Season 3 Coming Out?
The second season of ‘Made in Abyss‘ premiered on July 6, 2022, and it ended on September 28, 2022, meaning the run lasted little under three months. The second season features a total of twelve episodes, each of which is roughly 24 minutes long.
If you’re a die-hard fan of the series and can’t wait for its comeback, you might be in for a long wait. No formal statements regarding the show’s future have been made by Studio Kinema Citrus or any other companies involved in the show’s production or distribution as of yet.
The second season of the adventure fantasy series is just as highly regarded as the first as a top anime of all time on Myanimelist. The feedback it has received elsewhere has been uniformly positive. And the show’s global popularity keeps growing, so it’s clearly doing something well.
Considering these arguments, it could be easy to conclude that the show should be renewed. Despite that fact, the challenge creators face is a dearth of original content. Ten of Akihito Tsukushi’s eleven volumes of manga have been adapted in the first two seasons.
The show’s return is questionable because fresh volumes are only released very rarely. There should be at least four more volumes for the creators to finish the story.
The anime renewal committee will have to wait until 2026 to give the show the go-ahead if only one volume is added per year, as has happened in the past.
However, production and other factors will still lengthen the total waiting time. Season 3 of “Made in Abyss” is now scheduled to premiere in 2027, barring any further delays.

Made In Abyss Season 3 Plot
Faputa battles the creatures that have penetrated the Narehate Village Ilblu in the season 2 finale. Not only does she manage to hold them off, but she also destroys the village and rescues her mother in the process.
Wazukiyan dies beforehand, and though Vueko lives through it, she dies soon after telling Faputa some stories about her mom. Reg sees her grieving over Vueko and Gaburoon and offers her a chance to join him and his pals on their future adventures.
After the destruction of the Narehate Village Ilblu in season 3, Riko and her allies will decide to venture into the depths of the 6th stratum. In the meantime, Faputa will trail them closely.
Finding a patch of Eternal Fortunes will lead them to believe that Riko’s mother and the White Whistles are probably not too far away.
Faputa will be horrified by the message Lyza’s White Whistle is sending when she listens to it. From then on, Riko’s life and the lives of her companions would be altered in ways they could never have imagined.

Which Studio Is Making Made In Abyss Season 3?
Studio Kinema Citrus is responsible for the visually spectacular adaptations of the manga that have been released thus far. These adaptations comprise two seasons and three features. Because of this, we are rather confident that Akihito would not want anybody other than Kinema Citrus to animate Made in Abyss: Season 3, if given the choice.
The team at the studio are seasoned veterans of the entertainment industry who have held positions with Production I.G (Psyo-Pass) and Bones in the past. This is the reason why the studio’s work has impressed you so much (Mob Psycho 100). Although Made in Abyss is unquestionably one of the most significant adaptations they’ve created, it’s not the only time we’ve seen them excel in animation.
