Tokyo Revenger’s Season 2 – Let’s Check Out What Episode 10 has To Offer!

The enormous cliffhanger at the end of the first season left many issues unresolved, leaving fans with an overwhelming sense of dissatisfaction. This is why there is so much anticipation for this anime, and we have no doubt that it will not disappoint.

The series will be directed by Hatsumi Kouichi, who has previously directed anime such as Darling inside the FranXX, Grim reaper Paradise, Hunter x Hunter, etc.

Season 2 will see the return of Studio LIDENFILMS, who produced the first series of this anime. Koi to Usuario, Yamada-kun as well as the Seven Fairies, Yofukashi no Uta, etc. were all produced with their help.

Somewhat Like A Sibling

Now that another episode of Tokyo Revengers has aired, we’re here to give our thoughts on the latest installment. At the start of the episode, Takemichi meets Hina and is at a loss for words.

We saw how she learned that her father was the one who broke up with her lover since he is a criminal. Despite her dad’s worries, she still loves Takemichi. This determination of hers leads her to dispute with her father, telling him what a fantastic person Takemichi is in reality.

Saddened by the breakup’s necessity, she visits the shrine, where she unexpectedly runs across Emma. Hina tells Emma more about her troubles, so Emma phones Draken and Mikey and tells them to bring Takemichi to her house. That’s why Mikey & Draken were capable of facing Taiju at the chapel.

When Mikey abruptly ended their relationship, he is at a loss for words when he introduces Takemichi to Hinata. The question from Hinata, “Did you get into another fight?”

In a flashback, we learn that Hinata overheard her father and Takemichi talking. Her dad has been on the record as saying that he prefers her settle down with a respectable guy.

Although he may be a hoodlum, Hinata assures them that Takemichi is an empathetic person who will always help her.

At Christmastime, Hinata and Mikey’s sister Emma both happen to be at the same shrine. During Christmastime, Emma and her older brother would visit the shrine. Emma – notice into her own hands after hearing from Hinata about what transpired between her and Takemichi.

Draken and Mikey were searching for Takemichi after being asked to do so by Chifuyu, and they eventually found the group fending off Black Dragon members in a chapel.

Takemichi’s Reconciliation With Hinata

Takemichi promises Hinata, through tears, that he will always look out for her, even if he doesn’t get it to tomorrow. He begs her to put the breakup behind them, and they are soon back together.

Draken says that despite Takemichi’s inability to handle ladies and his lacklustre combat skills, he can be counted on in a pinch. He makes an unnamed comparison between Takemichi and another character.

In the face of her mother’s warning that Hinata would shut him out again if he intervenes, Hinata’s father gives up on breaking up with her after seeing their reconciliation.

Mikey fills Takemichi in on some personal details of his life. He explains that he has no parents and instead lives with his grandfather.

There is no common maternal ancestor between Emma and Mikey. Emma’s mother abandoned her and Mikey with Mikey’s grandfather, and the two families began living together.

While he was ten years older than Emma and Mikey, their older brother served as a father figure. Mikey says he can’t always tell right from wrong when he’s apart from him and that it’s during those moments that he feels most lost.

After talking to Hina, Takemichi freely admits that he is a harmful influence, but he promises to keep her safe no matter what. Mikey then kidnaps Takemichi and takes him for a drive after they reunite.

On this episode, we heard some very interesting revelations. Mikey’s older brother Shinichiro, a former gang leader, was previously only hinted at and known about on the surface.

Here, Mikey says that Takemichi reminds him a lot of his elder brother, who was the weakest member of the gang while being the leader. Like Takemichi, who’s really physically weak yet has never given up in a difficult position, he shone most when he was in the lead.

Mikey also expects Takemichi to correct him and teach him the right way if he ever strays from the true road, much like Mikey’s older brother did for him.

Conclusion

The uniqueness of this episode lies in the fact that it provides an inside look inside Mikey’s head. He is also aware of his heightened vulnerability in the wake of his brother’s and Baji’s deaths. When he gets off on the wrong foot, he knows he can count on friends and street gangs like Takemichi to help him get back on the straight and narrow.
