Third Season Of “Blue Exorcist” – Release Date, Plot Summary, And Other Informations!

Since Season 3 of Blue Exorcist has not yet been confirmed, there is presently no official release date. Inquiring minds want to know whether and when Blue Exorcist Final will be released.

Whether or whether Season 3 of the Blue Exorcist anime will air in 2023 and when it might be released is the subject of this essay.

Our protagonist, Rin Okumura, is a seemingly typical high school sophomore. After being attacked by demons a day, he learns he is actually Satan’s son and his entire world is flipped upside down.

More than 37 episodes have been aired throughout two seasons of the Blue Exorcist anime. Season one aired on television from April through October of 2011 and consisted of a total of 25 episodes, while season two ran from the beginning to the end of 2017 and featured a total of 12 installments.

An Abbreviated Rundown Of Recent Events

Blue Exorcist, written and drawn by Kazue Kato, is a bleak Japanese manga series. The first installment debuted in Jump Square, a magazine produced by Shueisha, in 2009. It started in August 2020, went through 27 exciting chapters, and concluded in July of 2021. The manga book was officially licenced for international English publication.

A-1 Films translated the dark manga title Blue Exorcist into an animated film in 2011. Tensai Okamura was in charge of the animation, and the premiere of the first season was on March 17, 2011. After 25 episodes and an OVA, the first series of Blue Exorcist concluded on Oct 2, 2011.

Its second season, titled “Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga,” premiered in 2017—six years after the first. Season 2 was helmed by newcomer Koichi Hatsumi, but otherwise was produced by the same company, A-1 Pictures.

Season 2 of The Blue Exorcist aired in Japan from January through March of 2017, and had 12 new episodes and two OVA episodes. The anime series was streamed on services like Hulu and Crunchyroll with English subtitles.

Demons and other supernatural beings feature prominently in the Blue Exorcist animated movie. The protagonist, a seemingly typical high school sophomore named Rin Okumura, is at the centre of the story.

The Human World and the Demon World are like two opposing sides of the same coin in the anime adaption. The name for the demon realm is “Gehenna,” whereas “Assiah” is reserved for the human realm.

As was established at the outset, possession is the sole means by which one can move between the heavenly and hellish dimensions; but, Satan, the lord of the underworld, was unable to find a suitable host. Assiah is an enemy of Satan, thus he sends his own son to be a tool in his conquest.

The protagonist, Rin Okumura, had his world flipped upside down after he learned he is Satan’s son after being ambushed by a group of demons. Demons assure Rin that her father wants him back so that he may rule over humanity.

On the other hand, Rin Okumura doesn’t want his son’s ‘Assiah’ to become the possession of a King. Therefore, Rin Okumura and his brother Yukio begin their training to become Exorcists with the single goal of rescuing Assiah.

Season 3 Of Blue Exorcist, Where Are You?

Season 2 of Blue Exorcist did not perform as well financially as the first, which is why the third season has been delayed.

The sales of manga in 2023 are roughly 30% lower than they were by 2015, and also no new goods based on this series has been launched in years. A similar fate befell the second season’s Blu-ray sales.

If a third season of Blue Exorcist were in the works, the main site and the authorized Blue Exorcist Twitter handle would be actively advertising it.

The series’s unique conclusion to the first season is largely responsible for its cancellation. For that reason, the wait time between seasons was a full six years.

I seriously doubt that Aniplex anticipated such a successful premiere season. The previous ending was unnecessary.

Most shows produce new episodes every two or three years to keep their audiences interested. Beyond that point, many viewers lose interest in the series.

Does Season 3 Of Blue Exorcist Exist?

The success of the first two seasons is the sole metric by which a third season of Blue Exorcist can be determined. Success in the previous season is the primary factor in deciding whether or not a show will be renewed for subsequent seasons.

Unfortunately, Blue Exorcist’s first two seasons just didn’t generate enough money to sustain the show.

Blue Exorcist Finale has not been confirmed due to low sales. Blue-Ray is just one of many formats in which the series has been made available.

The first season of Blue Exorcist sold about 12,700 copies per disc on the website Blue-Ray. There were only about 2,200 copies of Season 2 of The Blue Exorcist sold per disc (and that doesn’t count the English dub).

With only 80% of Season 2 of The Blue Exorcist sold, it was a disastrous financial outcome. Six years passed between seasons one and two, however season two has made almost little money.

Blue Exorcist, one of the 100 best-selling comics series of all time, sold about 20 million copies in 2018.

Conclusion

However, the adaptation’s anime performance wasn’t great, especially in season 2. In the event that Blue Exorcist gets greenlit, it will pick up immediately after the conclusion of Season 2. Blue Exorcist Third season seems unlikely to ever be made at this point in time.
