It should come as no surprise that Severance is regarded as one of the top shows of 2022. The good news is that you can go back and watch the first season whenever you want (and we strongly suggest that you do), but the bad news is that you still have to wait for the second season.
The production of the play has now begun, and it has been announced that eight more cast members, including John Noble, Gwendoline Christie, and Merritt Wever, will be joining the already impressive ensemble cast.
This is more fantastic news. Let’s start placing bets right now on who’s going to play one of the dismembered employees.
The science fiction drama formerly known as the best show no one was talking about was picked up for a second season by Apple TV+ before the first season had even finished showing all of its episodes.

Will Severance Return For Season 2?
There most certainly will be. A short while before the conclusion of the first season, it was revealed that the show will be renewed for a second season.
“Severance has imagined an existence that is equal parts riveting and enthralling as viewers around the globe can’t get enough of these rich characters,” Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, said in a statement.
“Thanks to creator Dan Erickson, the brilliant Ben Stiller, and an incomparable cast and crew, Severance has imagined an existence that is equal parts riveting and enthralling.” In season two, we can’t wait to go even farther into this entirely original world and peel back even more of Lumon’s layers.
Stiller also mentioned that he is eager to carry on with the show since he is ecstatic about the reception that he has received from everyone who has seen it. “The journey to bring Severance to television has been an arduous one,”
he remarked. “It has been a lengthy one.” “More than five years ago, I read Dan’s pilot for the first time. It has always been a story that will span multiple seasons, and I’m incredibly thrilled that we get to continue it.

What Will Season 2 Of Severance Be About?
It would be cruel for the second season of Severance to do anything other than pick up the story basically exactly where we left off. The season one finale of Severance ended on quite the cliffhanger, with Mark,
Helly, and Irv’s Innies on the outside all having shocking revelations just before Mr. Milchick tackled Dylan and sent them back inside.
And there is quite a lot to investigate; Severance is doing an excellent job of world-building, as we are seeing more and more of this version of the world that is fundamentally the same as ours, but with somewhat altered technology, procedures, and big political disputes or issues.
Although the Severance problem does not exist in our world, many of the ways in which people discuss other topics are quite similar.
Already, we can’t wait to find out what happens as a result of pretty much everything that has happened; Mark has spilled the beans to his sister about pretty much everything, and Mrs. Cobel has been revealed to be someone other than the mild-mannered Mrs.
Selvig. Innie Hellie, who was just discovered to be an Eagan and a literal insider at Lumon, is in fact vehemently opposed to virtually everything that Outie Helena and her entire family stand for, and she has determined to bring the corporation to its knees.
Before she was allowed to enter again, she made quite the proclamation outside. The final straw for poor Irv was when he saw Burt leading what appeared to be a happy life with someone else.
This caused Irv’s heart to break all over again. It is safe to anticipate that all three main protagonists, as well as the other characters who orbit them, will have to deal with the consequences of these new events in Season 2.
On the basis of the promise that we will see additional layers of Lumon in Season 2, it is possible that the following season will either contain flashbacks or an entire exploration of the beginning of Lum0n, specifically how Kier Eagan, the almost certainly cult leader who founded Lumon, convinced others to join him.

Who Will Be In The Severance Season 2 Cast?
It is anticipated that all of the main cast members, led by Adam Scott in his role as Mark Scout, will return for the second season of Severance. His other workers in the Macrodata Refinement division, Britt Lower as Helly R., Zach Cherry as Dylan G., and John Turturro as Irving B., should also return.
It is also expected that the show will bring back important figures connected to Lumon Industries, including:
Harmony Cobel, played by Patricia Arquette, is a company executive who pretends to be Mark’s next-door neighbour, Mrs. Selvig. Cobel is in charge of monitoring the severed floor.
Tramell Tillman portrayed Seth Milchick, the floor manager of the severed floor, in this production.
Burt Goodman, the former head of the Optics and Design branch and a potential romantic interest for Irving, is portrayed by Christopher Walken.
Dichen Lachman stars as Ms. Casey, a character on the severed floor who used to work as a health counsellor and who appears identical to Mark’s late wife Gemma.
The role of Natalie, liaison for Lumon’s board of trustees, is played by Sydney Cole Alexander.
James Eagan, the current CEO of Lumon Industries, is portrayed here by Michael Siberry.
There are also significant characters who are present but exist on the “outside,” including:
The role of Devon, Mark’s sister and a new mother, is played by Jen Tullock.
Michael Chernus plays the role of Ricken Hale, an author who is Devon’s spouse.
Ethan Flower plays Senator Angelo Arteta, who is a proponent of severance pay in its wider use.
Gabby Arteta, who is Angelo’s wife and a new mother, is played by Nora Dale.
Nikki M. James plays Alexa, a midwife who works for Devon and a lover of Mark’s.
The second season of Severance will also feature a few new cast members. New cast members include Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones, The Sandman), Merritt Wever (Nurse Jackie, Unbelievable),
Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development, Search Party), and Bob Balaban, as stated by The Hollywood Reporter (The French Dispatch). There is currently no information available regarding their characters.
