Season 2 Of Tower Of God: The Definitive Guide

Tower of God’s first season was a tremendous success on Crunchyroll, where it was rated 4.70 out of 5 stars on average by users.

The plot follows Bam (Johnny Yong Bosch there in English dub and Taichi Ichikawa in the original Japanese) as he climbs a mystical tower in search of his girlfriend, Rachel (Valerie Rosa Lohman with in English dub and Saori Hayami in the original Japanese).

Everyone who makes it to the highest point of the tower will still have their every wish granted, but Bam, Rachael, and anybody else who makes the journey will have to endure unimaginable trials and make terrible sacrifices to get there.

Both the animation and the original Tower of God manhwa (comic) by SIU (pen name of Lee Jong-hui) have legions of followers across the world. Naturally, now that Season 1 has ended, all those viewers want to understand when they can expect Season 2.

Spoilers for Season 1 follow, so don’t stop reading now if you want to know what happens next on the show.

To What Extent Did The First Series Of Towers Of God Reveal Its Secrets?

Until Rachel took him inside and educated him everything he knows, Bam has no recollection of his past life. Thus, when Rachel suddenly vanishes to go up the tower, Bam strives to follow her despite her protests and ends up getting himself into a lot of trouble.

Despite his disappointment in failing to find Rachel upon that bottom floor of the building, he makes some new pals.

Bam soon finds himself allied with the cunning and sneaky blue-haired kid Kuhn (portrayed by Chris Hackney in the English dub and Nobuhiko Okamoto in the Japanese original)

And the large alligator-like creature Rak (portrayed by Matthew David Rudd in the English dub and Kenta Miyake in the Japanese original), and a number of other intriguing characters. Allies formed, they set out to scale the tower of the title.

When Bam spots Rachel among the other exam takers, things immediately improve. Rachel has warned Bam to stay far away from her, but Bam is committed to keeping her safe. Bam offers to accompany Rachel to the tower’s highest point after she gets stabbed while performing one of the exams and is told she would never walk again.

If Bam and his companions want to bring Rachel, who is in a wheelchair, with them, they must first pass the toughest exam possible. A closer look reveals that the examination was nothing more than a deception to divide the group and eliminate any potential threats to the control tower.

When it seemed like they were about to win, Rachel got out of her wheelchair and pushed Bam, presumably to his death. Bam’s friends, still in their grief and unaware of Rachel’s betrayal, promise to take her to a top of the tower at the conclusion of the season. Bam, meantime, is making preparations to scale the structure on his own, as seen from below.

Is Season 2 Of Tower Of God In The Works?

Tower of God Season 2 appears inevitable in light of the enthusiastic response from fans, but it has not yet been formally announced. There has been no official word on a second season since the first one concluded in June of 2020.

Anime News Network contacted Crunchyroll’s Director of Brand & Marketing, Carter Hahnselle, about the possibility of future seasons of Tower of God, and Hahnselle stated, “you’ll have to watch out the series yourselves to find out how far we pursue Bam up the Building in Season 1!”

We regret not being able to provide you any more information at this point, but we are overjoyed that people all across the world are enjoying the programme.

Unfortunately, this comment was from the year 2020, and while there have been whispers, no formal announcements have been made as of yet. There is no telling if or when a new season of the Tower of God anime will be released, especially considering the lukewarm reaction several Crunchyroll Originals received.

Just How Does One Go About Learning The Rest Of The Tower Of God’s Plot?

After watching all 13 episodes from Season 1 of Towers of God, you may be wondering what happens beside the Bam and his allies (and adversaries). Thankfully, the manhwa also available as English on webtoons.com and is continually being updated.

There may not be a final chapter to Bam’s story just yet, but the Tower of God manhwa has three more volumes beyond what has been turned into the anime. The manhwa now airs on April 4, 2022, on Seasons 3, Issue 113, so there is more than enough stuff to keep you occupied for a long time.

Conclusion

There is no doubt that the impact of these anime films and television shows has persisted long after their first broadcasts, and their influence can be seen in a variety of contemporary works. When Shi does her next feature film, we’ll find out if she takes inspiration from any other anime series.
