Renee Zellweger was born in Texas to Swiss parents Emil Erich Zellweger and Kjellfrid Irene, who is of Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish, & Sami ancestry. Her dad is an electrical and mechanical engineer, while mom was a nurse and midwife.

She attended Katy Secondary School in Katy, Texas, to get her start in school. She was distinct from the other girls in her group due to her tomboyish demeanor.

She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Houston in 1991 and immediately began seeking acting gigs in the Houston area. His first job was in a beef advertisement, which he got when he was in college.

A Taste for Killing, Murder in the Heartland, Reality Bites, and 8 Seconds are just a few of the films in which she had small parts between 1992 and 1994.

Her first notable appearance was in the 1994 film “Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation,” which catapulted her into the spotlight. The 1996 film Jerry Maguire catapulted her to international fame. She was cast in the role of Tom Cruise’s on-screen girlfriend Jerry. The film was a commercial and critical hit.

Her footing in Hollywood was secure, but she had yet to score a major hit. One True Thing’ and “Nurse Betty” were both huge hits that year, 1998, making her a household name. The latter earned her the prestigious Golden Globe for the first time.

She earned a nomination from the Academy for the best supporting actress in 2003 for her performance in the film Cold Mountain. The California Walk of Fame honored her with a star in 2005.

She won the Crystal Award for Women in Film in 2007. She has dated many men, beginning with a high-profile but brief fling with Jim Carrey. In time, she became associated to Jack White, lead vocalist of The White Stripes, and the two were together for two years.

On May 9, 2005, she married musician Kenny Chesney. But after only four short months for marriage, they decided to call it quits. It was said that she and Bradley Cooper dated for at least two years.

This award-winning actress of “Jerry Maguire” and “Bridget Jones’s Diary” served drinks at a strip joint before she was cast in her breakthrough roles.
