Is Lamar From BMF Still Alive? Will He Return In BMF Season 2?

BMF’s Lamar Silas is a major player and the show’s primary antagonist. Eric Kofi-Abrefa plays him in the show.

Lamar is like a murderer who dresses like a clown. A schizophrenic local hero whose tall tales of victory became urban mythology. Lamar went back to his old neighbourhood of Southwest Detroit. In an effort to win back the affections of his girlfriend and the respect of his peers.

With Meech in control of both, however, a war broke out between them. With Meech nearly killing Lamar before the latter awoke from his coma and escaped the hospital.

The second season of BMF, a drama on Starz, is about to premiere. The series is based on the real-life exploits of the Flenory brothers. Terry “Southwest Tee” Flenory and Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory got their start in the drug trade. As teenagers peddling their wares on the streets of Detroit before going on to form their own nationwide drug ring. One of their main rivals in Season 1 was a thug named Lamar, whose wealth and power made him envious (Eric Kofi-Abrefa).

While Lamar was shot at the end of Season 1, many viewers still don’t think he’s dead.

Is Lamar From BMF Still Alive?

Is Lamar From BMF Still Alive?

Lamar Silas was modelled off the real-life OG Layton Simon. He’s a major player and a recurring villain thanks to his ability to switch roles from serial killer to court jester with ease.

To put it simply, Eric Kofi-Abrefa is fantastic in this part. The stories he told the residents of the hood sounded unbelievable and hard to comprehend, but they always contributed to some form of progress and finally became a part of their culture, therefore he was considered one of the vital characters.

Episode eight of the first season was titled “The King of Detroit” because of their efforts to establish authority in the city. Meech realises Lamar and Kato have been conspiring against him and declares he no longer cares about Kato.

Lamar is stunned to hear this, and he fears that Meech is aware of what he did, so he takes matters into his own hands by drawing his gun. Meech took his gun out of his pocket and pressed the trigger as he was about to follow suit. He takes a direct hit to the abdomen and then hovers over Lamar as he bleeds to death on the ground.

The season finale not only marks the conclusion of Lama. But also marks the formal launch of the BMF chain, paving the way for the creation of the next exciting season.

Return Of Lamar

Return Of Lamar

Fans of the hit crime drama BMF on Starz were overjoyed to see the highly anticipated second season premiere. After a wait of more than two years. Lamar (Eric Kofi-Abrefa), also returned to the streets of Detroit, the excitement quickly morphed into fury.

After the shocking conclusion of season one, viewers couldn’t wait for the show to return for season two.

Fans may breathe easy, though, because the second season picked up shortly after the tense gunfight ended.

To prove his loyalty to the BMF, B-Mickie (Myles Truitt) had to murder his close friend Kato (Ajiona Alexus). And throw her out of the gang because she was working as an informant for Lamar.

Lamar had apparently allegedly died, but fans were disappointed to hear that the villain was actually hospitalised and on life support.

Fans were devastated to learn he was alive after being led to believe he had died. After being shot by Meech Flenory (Demetrius Flenory Jr.).

Instead, authorities attempted to frame Meech for the attack by having Lamar taken to the hospital. And placed under surveillance using a false name.

Fans flocked to Twitter to vent their frustrations at his unexpected awakening.

Conclusion

Near the end of the first season, Lamar pressured Kato into helping him frame Meech. So that he could kill him and regain control of their Detroit communities. But in the season one finale, Lamar finds out that Kato is actually trying to set him up. And Kato’s plot backfires. After approaching Meech and another member of the 50 Boyz, B-Mickie, Lamar puts a gun to Kato’s head and tries to keep him hostage. In the end, this doesn’t work out, as Lamar is still alive despite Meech’s best efforts to kill him.

Meech, Terry, and their closest associates were alarmed to learn in the season two premiere that Lamar is still very much alive. We can only speculate on the extent to which Lamar will seek vengeance against Meech for shooting him.

‘BMF’ new episodes air on STARZ at 8:00 pm EST on Fridays and at 12:00 am EST on the STARZ app.
