When you consider that Epic Games prioritises having everyone be able to play by releasing new seasons and chapters on weekends, this seems even more strange. If we must speculate, though, it could have something to do with partnerships, especially those that are highlighted on the Battle Royale game.
Timeline-wise, only Attack on Titan Part 3 of Season 4 is set to premiere before Fortnite Chapter 4 Seasons 2 drops.
