That ’90s Show

Other Characters of That ’90s Show
The 10 episodes span July and August, giving the main cast of teens plenty of time to try new things and grow as individuals. Leia’s new best friend, Gwen, compassionately challenges Leia’s self-doubt by telling her she shouldn’t apologise for being a geek and should instead take action.
Sadly, though, first loves are transient, and by the end of the summer, Jay is still on the fence about whether or not to commit to a long-distance relationship. Nate, whose future with Nikki, who is much more studious and dedicated, is beginning to be questioned, shares a moment with Leia in the season finale, further complicating matters. But Gwen, who could be the only person ready to safeguard her best friend and her brother’s secret, interrupts their almost-kiss.
Gwen and Nikki become fast friends in Season 1 after realising they share more interests and experiences in common than they had previously thought. And Ozzie still practising coming out to adults, even making a proclamation to Kitty, while spending the most of the summer trying to persuade his buddies that his French-Canadian boyfriend is real.
At the end of the season, most of the gang (with the exception of super-student Nikki) feels glum about having to go back to classes. In order to keep their connection alive, Leia and Jay pledge to continue seeing each other, and Gwen and Leia promise to talk every day once Leia returns to Chicago (yes, she actually does depart before the end of the season, instead of finding a way to stay a little longer).
Teenagers, according to Metacritic’s Lindsey Turner, “treat two months as an eternity,” and the same goes for an entire school year.
