Pixel 3 XL Release Date: Google could launch a redesigned Pixel 3 on Oct. 9th

Google might eventually release an radically new redesigned Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL on 9th October.

Over the past few weeks, we have seen a series of leaks about the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL designs, most notably about the latter. The leaked smartphones went through assessments, and even elaborate unboxing and hands-on videos. Information about the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL‘s form-factor design, specs, features and prices are scattered all over the worldwide web. However, there’s a couple of incidents recently that have the general public speculated that the real Pixel 3 XL design could not be anything close to what we’ve seen in the leaks online.

The first event which suggests at such a speculation about the Pixel 3 XL is a video clip uploaded on YouTube. We know that a simple video on the popular video-sharing website cannot be a reliable source, but the content creator behind the channel should also be considered.

The YouTuber, John Prosser of FPT (front page tech), who published the said has shell out some facts which are worth taking into consideration. The content creator uploaded a few video clips bashing the massive chin on the bottom of the front panel as well as the prominently big notched design of the Google Pixel 3 XL. Even after posting a video hating that design, Prosser received an email from a Google hardware division asking for permission to use a portion of his video.

Google wrote to Prosser that the purpose of the video clips will be used at the company’s special event on October 9th as well as in other marketing purposes. It is more likely that the Mountain View-headquartered company might be playing a montage of such clips right before they officially announced a radically different new Pixel 3 XL.

The second one which has added weight to Prosser’s speculation is a leak posted on Slashleaks forum. This latest leak shows a screenshots of a “Device Setup” page on a Pixel 2 with the illustrations of a seemingly fully bezel-less and notched-less handset. This illustration is quite different from the recent leaked images of the Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3XL. The leaked Pixel 3 XL has a notched on the topmost display while the leaked Pixel 3 has the similar design as to its predecessor that has thick bezels.

Google could have been faked the recent leaks that swirling over the Internet and tricked the public with the notched design on the alleged Pixel 3 XL.
