Australia and Peru will wrap up play in Group C in the World Cup 2018 football tournament on Tuesday in Sochi, Russia.
Australia has a single point and is currently sitting behind Denmark and France in the Group C standings, keeping alive but in need of a one more victory and some boost. The Aussies’ side has been defeated to France 2–1 in their World Cup opener and then drew with Denmark in their second campaign. Should Socceroos wins over Perue, then Denmark loses and Australia manage to win the tiebreaker, especially with goal differential, then Australia will advance to the next knockout stage. The Danish club is at plus-one, while the Socceroos have a negative-one goal differential.
Enduring in their path is the Peruvian national football team that has already been eliminated from the football tournament. Peru lost 1–0 to Denmark in their opening game in the tournament and another one 1–0 to France in their second match, despite playing their aggressive way, attack-minded football of any team at this year’s World Cup.
Both squads are roughly at their full power, but we may see Peru give some minutes to its soccer players that haven’t played much in the recent memories. As for Australia, it could be the chance for young star Daniel Arzani.
