The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors will renew their seemingly yearly rematch for the National Basketball League (NBA) greatness as they meet in the 2018 NBA Finals.
Both the Cavaliers and Warriors needed to force a Game 7 on the road contest in their respective conference finals series to claim their fourth straight appearance in the NBA Finals.
The Cavs managed to outscored the Boston Celtics. The Warriors, on the other hand, outshone the Houston Rockets thanks to a dreadfully horrendous shooting performance from James Harden and his teammates and the absence of All-Star guard Chris Paul.
The defending champions are seeking their third NBA championship title in the past four years. Cavs are looking for retaliation after last year’s five-game walloping at the hands of Stephen Curry and the Golden State.
Sportsbooks are predicting that the Warriors to thoroughly defeat the Cavaliers in this year’s installment of what many believe is now the greatest rivalry in sports. Golden State opened as a massive, -750 favorite to defend their title, meaning bettors would have to wager a whopping $7.50 for just $1 if the Warriors win according to BestOnlineSportsbooks. Cleveland, on the other side of the ball, have been put as a +650 underdog, by far the longest odds that the Cavaliers has had during LeBron James incredible run of eight straight appearance to the Finals. It shouldn’t come as any shock that Steph Curry-led team are strong favorite for the series opener at the their home court, with the current spread playing at around 12.5 points. Oddmakers expected this a high-scoring game, setting the O/U at a total of 214.5 points.
