Game 6 Final: Warriors 115, Rockets 86

The Golden State Warriors will give their best to avoid off elimination when they play host the Houston Rockets in Game 6 of the Western Conference finals in the action-packed 2017 NBA Playoffs on Saturday, May 26.

[agg-ad id=”834″ align=”center”][agg-ad id=”442″ align=”center”]Houston have turned the Western Conference finals in favor to their fate. After being underdog in the first three games, 2-1, the ball club are now up 3-2 after clinching Game 5 last Thursday night. James Harden struggled extremely from the floor, but Chris Paul and Eric Gordon led Houston, teaming up for 44 points to get the Rockets a 98-94 victory.

The Rockets holds a 3-2 series lead in the Western Conference Finals after claiming the Game 4 on the road to equalize the series and then securing the Game 5 at home court advantage. In the 98-94 Game 5 victory, Houston’s superstar Chris Paul went down late in the fourth quarter of the contest with a hamstring injury that will keep him sideline for the crucial Game 6.

The Warriors, on the other side of the ball, has lost two consecutive postseason games for the first time since the team lost three games in a row back in the 2016 NBA Finals to conclude the season. Golden State have been without their 2015 Finals MVP Andre Iguodala in the last couple of contests and his health status for tonight’s game is still uncertain.

[agg-ad id=”434″ align=”center”]Now, Golden State will have their backs against the brink as the series shifts back to their home court. The Warriors evidently have all the talented players to still turn this series in their favor, but the team will have to start by being cautious and take care of the ball far better after 16 turnovers in the most recent contest.

GSW are seeking to force the series to a Game 7 at Houston and the Rockets are trying to shut off Warriors, advance to the championship series, to make NBA Finals appearance for the first time since 1995 when they won their last championship title.

The WCF series heads back to Oakland as the top-seeded Rockets looking to conclude the series and claim their ticket to the NBA Finals over Stephen Curry and the reigning champs. The Warriors, meanwhile, are trying to dodge from getting eliminated with their home court advantage and seek to force Game 7. Whether the Rockets will have Chris Paul play in the Game 6 remains to be determined after the All-Star left Game 5 suffered hamstring injury.
