The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have both treated with an upgraded new Retina screen displays that features True Tone Display. The display changes the color of the screen and and adopt to the light around you.

These new updates are particularly welcomed but neither of these new but less-impressive handsets equip OLED display.

If you’re looking for the popular Touch ID fingerprint scanner on the physical home button in the iPhone X, Apple has completely ditch it and the company is planning to implement it in the next generation iPhones not just on the iPhone X.

Due to the enormous all-screen display of the iPhone X, the Touch ID fingerprint sensor has now been replaced by 3D facial recognition which will securely unlock the handset by simply glimpsing at it.

Apple is calling it the Face ID, and the tech company claims it will revolutionize the biometric authentication on iPhone X and the next iterations.

Face ID uses an avant-garde TrueDepth camera system consists of a dot projector, infrared camera and flood illuminator, and is powered by A11 Bionic system-on-chip (SoC) to accurately map and recognize the users face.

The A11 Bionic SoC also includes a neural network component Apple calls a “Neural Engine”, which can execute up to 600 billion operations per second. This newly develop innovative depth-sensing technologies seamlessly working together to securely unlock the iPhone X.

All facial information is securely stored by the secure vault to keep saved data truly secured. Apple says that all of the processing is in-depth done on-mobile itself and is not uploaded to the Apple cloud server to preserve user privacy.

The Face ID only unlocks the phone when user directly glance at it and is foolproof from photos or masks.

Along with 3D facial recognition dubbed Face ID, the groundbreaking TrueDepth camera system alongside the 7-megapixel front-facing snapper also enables users to access a entertaining new feature.

The depth-sensing TrueDepth camera system can now bring the popular emojis to life in something Apple is calling Animojis — animated emojis.
