The Oakland Raiders head to Arlington, Texas to take on the the Dallas Cowboys for their Preseason Week 3. Both organizations were victorious during the 2016 NFL regular season as the two teams managed to reach the postseason, but weren’t as fortunate in the playoffs.
The Raiders had their first successful season since 2002 with their 12-4 winning record. The Oakland had a number of setbacks though when star quarterback Derek Carr injured his broken leg. The second-string quarterback, Matt McGloin — who is now gone, was also injured and the teams has now turned to rookie Connor Cook. Without Derek Carr, the Raiders weren’t able to get past the Wild Card Round, but heading into the third exhibition game – which is also considered as dress rehearsal – the organization look prepared to move on from that disappointment.
[agg-ad id=”438″ align=”left”]Star quarterback Derek Carr, wide receiver Amari Cooper and running back Marshawn Lynch should all be active for an enough share of the first half as the Oakland poised to get a good look at their 2017 roster. The Dallas Cowboys will also be doing the same, which makes this preseason matchup an interesting one.
The Dallas Cowboys also looks to rebound on a one-and-done playoff appearance. The Cowboys went 13-3 record in the previous season, but lost to the Green Bay Packers in an upsetting game.
Meanwhile, it remains to be determined should the 2016 season’s promising star running back Ezekiel Elliott will play much on tonight, but the rest of the stars including the second-year quarterback Dak Prescott, wide receiver Dez Bryant and the recently returned to the field Jaylon Smith will get a good portion of play time. But some says Elliot, who was suspended for the first six games of the 2017 NFL season, will get some run in this Dallas Cowboys offense.
