The Atlanta Falcons play host the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, August 26 in the third week of the action-packed 2017 NFL Preseason. As we head into the Week 3 of the exhibition campaign, the Cardinals and Falcons will be playing on Saturday evening. While Cardinals is still looking for their first victory of this year’s preseason, the Falcons are coming off a 1-2 exhibition record. We all know that the steaks in the preseason don’t matter at this point in the this season, but the Atlanta would sure want to break in their new home with a win.
The Falcons will be playing their first ever football game in their new state-of-the-art $1.6 billion home stadium — Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The new stadium has a massive selection of food and drink merchants and stands to choose from.
The Falcons CEO and president, Rich McKay spoke regarding the new stadium during the franchise’s last matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers and said the team listened to the fans concerns about the pricing on food and the stadium owner Arthur Blank made it a priority to offer affordable options for the leasing vendors.
Going into the most recent season, it was the Arizona who had Super Bowl anticipations and the Atlanta who were hoping to bounce back to the NFC Playoffs. These two professional American football organizations actually met in late-November game a year ago, with the Falcons winning the game 38-19. The Cardinals defense couldn’t stop the Atlanta’s wide receiver Taylor Gabriel, as he caught four passes for 75 yards and a couple of touchdowns — that contest got out of hand fast.
This matchup doesn’t have the same outcome as a regular season contest, so there won’t be much of Larry Fitzgerald or Julio Jones. Additionally, this will be the first game the Falcons’ play in their new stadium, so there will definitely be a lot of excitement around the metropolis.
Like any other games in the preseason, this exhibition contest will only be broadcasted in local markets. However, there are a number of means to watch Falcons and Cardinals game online. With that being said, it will take a subscription to do so, but you can try the NFL Game Pass 7-Days Free Trial.
