The Los Angeles Chargers and the Los Angeles Rams will play in the first Battle of the Los Angeles in the new generation of football teams and players on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET and you can catch up the action-packed game on NFL Network or with local affiliates. The Rams-Chargers will be played in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the home stadium of the Rams. The Rams hew head coach Sean McVay has taken paces to win over the Rams heart, while the Chargers are trying to find their footprints in their new home.
Just a couple of seasons ago, the Los Angeles didn’t have any team in the National Football League to call its own. Bit now it has, not only one but two professional football teams in the city. The Chargers and Rams will square off on Saturday night and is the only national game tonight. The Rams-Chargers game kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and subscribers will be able to stream the exhibition contest on CBS All Access.
[agg-ad id=”438″ align=”left”]The Chargers don’t have any internal competition for the starting quarterback job, which securely landed to with Philip Rivers. However, there is a stiff competition for the main backup quarterback resume. The Chargers defense unit isn’t too much of a concern for the former San Diego-based franchise either. With defensive end Joey Bosa on one side and Melvin Ingram on the other border, the Bolts have a pass-rushing tandem that could eventually be one of the best one in 2017 NFL season. Quarterback Philip Rivers led a scoring drive against the Seattle Seahawks defense in the preseason opener and didn’t play in following week but should see extended playing time against the Rams in what is considered as NFL’s dress rehearsal week.
The Los Angeles Rams, meanwhile, have all their eyes are on second-year quarterback Jared Goff. The No. 1 overall pick from the 2016 NFL Draft class has spent the offseason improving himself most especially his throwing skills. Despite all the changes in the Rams, Goff is actually looking quite solid so far this preseason — at least, better than his rookie season. Projected quarterback starter Jared Goff has said that he wants to run a two-minute offense against the Chargers.
