The Denver Broncos play host the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night in the third and most vital week of 2017 NFL preseason. Both professional American football teams will use the exhibition matchup as a final dress rehearsal for regular starters ahead of the 2017 NFL regular season.
Just a couple of weeks away from the very first 2017 NFL regular season game opener, the final drilling and preps are being put in their proper places. At this time of the season it’s indeed important to stay healthy, but also be ready to fly out of the gates in the season opener.
For the Denver Broncos, it only means that fans and spectators will see superstar linebacker Von Miller step in the field for the first time this year. While veteran running back Jamaal Charles will also make his preseason debut against the Green Bay Packers.
The contest will mark the tenth time the Broncos and Packers have squared off each other in the preseason campaign — The Broncos owns a 6-3 winning record in the past nine games. Since 2000, the Denver are 11-6 in second-to-last preseason matchups.
After facing Green Bay Packers, which happens tonight tonight, the Broncos will welcome and play host the Arizona Cardinals in their fourth and final preseason game on Thursday, August 31. The Denver Broncos — and all other NFL teams — will then be trimming their rosters from 90 players down to final 53-man players by Friday, September 1.
