The Los Angeles Rams fly to Oakland to take on the Raiders on late Saturday evening game. The Raiders will be play hosting the Rams for an spectacular exhibition matchup.
This is a pivotal preseason game for the Raiders as it will be the first time for them to play at home this year. The last time the Oakland played in front of the home crowd, the star quarterback Derek Carr injured his fibula. While he is back on track for an all-new campaign, he is now healthy and ready to play this fall. Carr has yet to play real football contest since that season-ending injury.
The Raiders are coming off a tough first exhibition matchup against the Arizona Cardinals in the preseason opener. Though the final score was only 20-10 in that game, it was not certainly close, as the Cardinals controlled all 60 minutes. Look for the Oakland to play with more confidence in front of their fans tonight.
It won’t just be the Raiders star quarterback will be making his 2017 NFL season debut tonight, a high-profile free agent acquisition in Oakland native Marshawn Lynch will play for his home team. While he was sidelined in the game against the Cardinals int the previous week, Lynch did not engaged in the first exhibition contest for Raiders.
The Los Angeles Rams, on the other side of the football, is visiting Oakland off a low-scoring victory over the Dallas Cowboys, 13-10. The Rams’ second-year starting quarterback Jared Goff narrowly played. Most of the playing time went to his second-string quarterback Sean Mannion.
