The Dallas Cowboys set to play into their third game of the 2017 NFL Preseason schedule against the Indianapolis Colts and their first contest at home stadium. The Cowboys heads back home to Texas after spending their early practices and workout training camp in Oxnard, California.
This is the exhibition matchup that the Dallas starters could potentially play. We have already witnessed a feaw of starters in different roles like the offensive line, but this Saturday night game we should see the second-year quarterback Dak Prescott, star wide receiver Dez Bryant and most of the first-stringers. The starters probably won’t play long, but they should showcase some action-packed play. Dak Prescott, the promising rookie quarterback in the previous season, kept the 10-year starter Tony Romo on the sideline when he was ready to bounce back off a back injury and eventually led the franchise’s career passing leader to retire and go into broadcasting industry.

Smith — the second-rounder pick in the 2016 NFL draft — has done all the rehab work, he’s been getting workouts in practices during the training camp, on Saturday he must get the opportunity to prove to everyone he can still play American football at a skyrocketing level.
For the Cowboys, it’s their third preseason game this year, but at this point it isn’t known should they will consider this matchup as a dress rehearsal. There are endless doubts as to whether the rising star running back Ezekiel Elliott will suit up, but there’s still a lot of things to witness as the 90-roster professional football players fight to secure their respective spots on the final 53-man roster.
For the Indianapolis Colts, they are geared up to play their second preseason contest as they head down to Texas to take on the Cowboys. The Colts continue to try and find for someone to fill in for the quarterback Andrew Luck job before the regular season.
Just like in the previous years or in any other leagues, the starters may not play the entire game in the preseason game, but it’s always worth watching it to see how they look in their limited playing time. It’s also good to try and spot the unknown rookies that can become the next superstar.
