The Patriots and Jags will one again square off in the preseason. This will be the third time, with the two teams splitting their first two games. The Patriots defeated the Jaguars, 47-12, in their most recent matchup (August 11, 2011), while the latter won their initial preseason contest, 31-0 (September 2, 2004).

The Jaguars became the seventh different opponent the New England have either hosted or visited in joint sessions since way back in 2010. While the inclusion of an extra 90-man roster lineup might seem to populated the practice fields, the perks and advantages of joint practices clearly exceed any hiccups.
Overall, the Patriots own a 10-1 winning record in regular season and postseason play against the Jaguars, including 3-1 in the playoffs. The two franchises most recently clash at Gillette Stadium on September 27, 2015, when the Patriots scored a 51-17 victory.
The superstar quarterback Tom Brady has met the Jacksonville five time in his professional NFL career in the regular season. Brady has also played Jaguars a couple of times in the playoffs.
