Notiorious leaker Benjamin Geskin tweeted on Saturday, July 8, that the most awaited “iPhone 8” will come in four color variants, but exclusive of them will allegedly be a new “mirror-like” finish.
Geskin attached an image of an older Apple flagship smartphone with a case that has a mirror-like back panel to give an visualization of what the iPhone 8 may be look like with the hyper-reflective glass back panel.
However, it would not be a first for a cellular device and not even for the Cupertino-based technology giant itself.
The company has already released the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus with the exclusive “Jet Black” finish last launch cycle; one that is outstandingly shiny or glossy, and while we wouldn’t go as far as calling it “mirror-like,” it is the closest thing that Apple has done to launching a super-reflective iPhone smartphone.

Japanese electronics titan Sony, however, may have outclassed Apple on the time schedule. Sony has already introduced the super-top end Xperia XZ Premium at the Barcelona’s 2017 Mobile World Congress(M WC) earlier this year, and the device looks a lot like how the iPhone 8 may end up being finished.
